Preconfigured Hosting Hardware

Can someone point me to manufacturers of pre-configured web server hardware I can purchase? I am looking for a system to host my company website. It will have a lot of file tranfer traffic so I'm looking for a dedicated server that has all the server software preinstalled so I can get the server up and running with minimal effort.

You can usually get good hardware prices direct from manufacturers (i.e. Dell, HP), and have them ship your server to your host's colo facility. Check out the offers/requests section of this forum, rental costs of dedicated servers have come down alot in the past few years, it might be less expensive for you to rent instead of purchase.

Why do you want to own it? IMHO, you probably don't. Lease one from a dedicated server company (there are many offers on this site) and all the software, licenses, admin software, connectivity, etc. is included. Plus you might get some help running it (as it's a bit more complicated to maintain for someone who just wants to host their company site). In fact, you may be able to look at less expensive VPS or even lesser expensive shared hosting solutions.

You mentioned, "It will have a lot of file tranfer traffic" though I'm not sure if this is hopeful traffic or actual traffic. If it's hopeful, start small and inexpensive (inexpensive is not the same as cheap though), and beware of the "all you can eat" traffic allowances as they're usually far, far from unlimited.

I believe that is not a problem to ask web hosting provider about that and then make sure about the prices.

I have heard of some companies over seas in india having preconfigured servers available. I would check or look this up and there maybe one available here. If there is I would do a review of them.
